Disney Magic

This will be a quick update. Just wanted to show you another little tee I stitched out recently. Our sweet friends are heading back home to Florida for Christmas. While they are there, they are going to Disney. Of course, Addyson had to have a sweet little Minnie tee. (Ignore all the stuff on the kitchen counter). :)

Ruby

Recently I made a little outfit for a sweet girl's 1st birthday...Ruby. Here's a peek.

And a closer look at the flounce pants. Is that not the cutest design on the fabric? I love the little details...the paisley, the birds, the flowers. I just love it.

I used the same fabric for the 'r' and a coordinating fabric for the background. Notice the birdie right behind the r. I just love these fabrics.
So there you have it. Tomorrow I'm going to tell you about something non-craft/sewing related. I'm in the middle of a 6-week boot camp...and I figure blogging about it will be an extra accountability for me. I'll check in every Tuesday, since that's the day we meet.

You're My Brother, You're My Friend

I recently had the opportunity to make a sibling set for two little boys who are about have a new little sister. I absolutely loved this project. I grew up as the baby sister of two older brothers and just loved it. If I could pick an order to have children in, I would pick exactly that...of course, we don't get to pick. But, I enjoyed being the only girl and having 2 older brothers so much. So, this was a special project to me.

I also love the colors, the designs, I love it all.

I've never met the mama, but the girl who asked me to do this order sent me a link to her website. It's super cute! You should check it out here. She's got some really cute things.
I hope she enjoys this little sibling set...and I'm sure those boys are just going to be in love with their baby sister when she gets here.

Some More Tees

A week or so ago I showed you a new cute little tee I made, well, I've been doing a few more of those. I thought I'd show them to you. Once again I have to apologize for bad pictures. We are in the process of getting a new camera and I can hardly wait to take fabulous pictures for you when I get it...but until then, well it's just not that great. The other problem is when I'm trying to run out the door and realize I haven't taken any pics yet, so I throw the items somewhere and quickly snap a shot....this does not make for good pictures...and this would be the case with all of the below. I digress.
I'm a big fan of this frame. It's somewhat hard to tell, but it's got tons of tiny little dots surrounding it....they're cute.

I also did a matching set for some sweet little twin girls. Of course, this is the worst picture. The tees are actually purple, even though they look pretty blue here.
And finally one for sweet Kennedy, she's the little girl of a friend from work. The hanger is making this tee look whomper-jawed, but at least you get the picture.
This is a better look. I really liked this tee. I love how girly and playful the two different pinks are against each other.
These tees are a lot of fun to do. I'm happy to make one for you!

Just A Little Something

I've been busy, so I've got quite a bit to catch you up on. Let's see...first, I did a couple of custom shirts for a friend of mine. Her sister is running for DA and she wanted her little girls to have some tees to help with the campaign. I went back and forth with several different designs in mind. In the end I decided to go with a 'look-a-like' to the shirts they have had printed up for the campaign. So, here they are...
In addition to that, one of her little girls is having a big birthday this weekend. Lily turns 2 tomorrow. She had a princess themed party...clearly, princesses are very popular right now. :) So I did this little dress for her.
And, because you know I love to have you take a closer look...

Gibson

Last year I donated a basket of goodies for an auction at a Mops and Pops Event at church. The sweet girl who won the basket donated it to her friend who just recently had a little boy named Gibson. Love that name.

Gibson's mama said she liked chocolate brown, turquoise, lime green and monsters. :) So here's a look at what I did with that...
First up, a couple monster onesies.
Then a couple of bibs.
And a couple of burp cloths.
This isn't a great picture of this one, but I really like it. It's not a typical burp cloth design, but I thought it would look really good to see his whole name across mom's shoulder or laying down.
Then everything went in this green basket. Love these.
I hope Gibson and his mommy enjoy. He certainly is a little cutie.

Gift Sets

I recently got to do 3 different orders of gift sets (bib and burp cloth sets) for some little ones that live around the south. Actually one of my friends' mom placed the orders, she lives in Mississippi, and I got to send them on to their new homes. It was such a fun order...I loved it!

For these sets I made the bib and the burp cloth with the same design. First up is the girl in the group, Meila. I used my birdie applique again.
Next up is Tate. Is that not the cutest name? I love it. Tate got a cute whale.
Last was Duke, another great name! He got a sailboat. I love it...and for some reason I didn't get a picture of the bib. But it looked the same.
I really enjoyed doing these orders...and look forward to more in the future. If you're ever in need of a baby gift, let me know!

Outfits

A couple outfits I did last week. I was trying out a new supplier and thought I'd test these little baby onesie/dress combos and rompers for little boys. The jury is still out, but I've made a few things and thought I'd show them to you.

First is the little dress; I made this one for Claire. I used a reverse applique like I've done a few times.
Close-up. As I think about it, I'm pretty sure every time I've used this circle reverse applique I haven't gotten a picture of it, so this may be your first time to see it. I'm so in love with that flower fabric...it's Summer Song from Riley Blake Designs.
Here's the little romper. I did this one for Cade...and I love the whale.

Lastly, another onesie I just made for Claire. And I abso-stankin-lutely love this one. I love the birdie applique. I love the yellow stripes and the turquoise fabric...and the way they look against each other. I'm just so happy with this one.

Claire

Recently I was asked to take some plain bibs and make them cute for little Claire. I did a mix of monograms and names...and had fun with it. So, here you go...(oh and by the way, some of these are really poor quality pictures, my apologies)

My little birdie is back again. It's been a while since I've used her, but I love her every single time. I did this in the same lavender seersucker and avocado green that I used on Addyson's birthday dress. I'm loving those colors together right now.
She asked specifically for one bib to be in red. I went back and forth with what to do on this one, then settled on just stitching and not adding a fabric for the applique. I knew she wanted it to match a few things specifically and was afraid some of the other colors in the fabrics might throw that off. I like the monogram in the frame just stitched out.

This picture is by far the worst, but it's the best I got....2 shades of pink.

It's been a big month for bibs...more to come soon.

New Cute Tee

A friend asked me to make a little tee for her niece's birthday. All she asked for was not white, cute, and use either her name, a little C, or her monogram. Gosh I love orders like that!

And here's a close-up. I love that fabric...it's part of the new-ish Summer Song line from Riley Blake, which I'm a huge fan of.
She's ordered 2 more shirts...when I've finished them, I'll get pics for you to see.
Sorry I've had short posts lately....I've just been trying to get you caught up on all I've been doing lately and didn't want just one gigantic post.

Penguins

One of my favorite things to make are baby gift sets. Recently a girl who I grew up with moved to Huntersville, near Charlotte...so it's only a couple hours away from us. She asked me to make a baby gift set for a friend of hers having a baby in August. Baby doesn't have a name yet, but she really wanted penguins. So here you have it.
This baby gift set includes a bib, onesie, and burp cloth.

And here it is packaged together.

I hope she likes it.

Lil' Rocket

I got to do a custom order for a little girl whose brother plays baseball for one of our high schools. I had so much fun with this. Reynolds colors are green and gold...and they are the rockets. Michelle gave me some direction as to what she wanted on the shirt and I did a little of my own design. Actually, the overall design took me quite a while. I wanted it to look cute and not just like a ton of things all over a shirt...and I'm really happy with the final result. I hope she is too!

There is also design on the back of the shirt. Her brother is John Nick and his number is 21.

She had a skort that she wanted the shirt to match, I decided to embellish it with a little matching rick-rack. I adore rick-rack.

I made a pair of flounce pants to match them for games when the weather is cooler...like today. :) However, I'm really not sure what I think about this pair of pants. I used a pattern that I haven't used before and I don't think they came out all that great. The rise doesn't seem to be long enough, which then makes the leg inseam look too long. Given that I don't have a little person at my house to throw things on for testing purposes, I'm dependent on others to do that for me. I compared the inseam with another pair of pants I have here and it doesn't appear to be too long, however the rise is just so short. It's like a mini version of low rise pants. But, I'm gonna let Lauren be my 'tester' to let me know how much I need to correct them.

I made a bow to match the whole she-bang, then when I went to glue it together I discovered I'm out of clips. Boo hiss.
Anyway, I hope Michelle likes this little outfit, I'm certain Lauren will look super cute cheering her brother on at his games.
